Three Awards for „Me, Maryam, the Children, and 26 Others“ at the 46th Efebo d’Oro Film Festival in Palermo, Dedicated to Independent Artists

„Me, Maryam, the Children, and 26 Others“, written and directed by Farshad Hashemi, won three prestigious awards at the 46th Efebo d’Oro Film Festival in Palermo, Italy: the Best Film Award (Prospettive Award), the Mancini Award, and the Audience Award.

Farshad Hashemi dedicated these awards to Iranian independent artists, emphasizing their resilience and commitment to freedom:

„Our main goal in making this film was to capture the true essence of the Iranian people—a reality long concealed under the heavy weight of censorship. For decades, censorship has created countless challenges for Iranian artists, yet many continue to fight bravely against it, refusing to let this dark shadow distort the truth.“

We are very happy to announce that our short film My Father received first prize (Gold Frame) at the London-based Short Focus Film Festival. Thank you to the organizers and the whole team!

 

What a magnificent finale it was at the closing ceremony of IFFI 2023!
Among the many remarkable films showcased at the festival, the one which captured hearts of the jury was a film from our production, “Endless Borders”.

As we bid farewell to successful edition of IFFI, let us celebrate this momentous occasion and congratulate Abbas Amini and his team on his outstanding achievement. The future looks bright for Persian cinema as it continues to captivate global audiences with its unique storytelling and artistic brilliance.

Winning the Best Male Actor award is a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication to his craft. Pouria’s performance in the film “Endless Borders” captivated audiences and showcased his remarkable acting skills.
