Omid Marzban is an Afghan journalist and filmmaker, born in 1984. He studied screenwriting and film direction at the Prague Film School, bringing a unique cinematic perspective rooted in his experiences witnessing Afghanistan’s turbulent political transitions—from the collapse of the communist regime, through Mujahideen rule and civil war, to the rise and fall of the Taliban.
In addition to his filmmaking, Marzban has worked as a journalist for outlets such as Good Morning Afghanistan and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
